A single mother is confronted by the lover she was forced to leave behind.

Rory has made a new life for herself since escaping the Death’s Head MC sex slave ring. Her company is global, her baby boy is a blessing, and her best friend is her housemate. Haunted by memories of a traumatic past, she’s shocked when she comes face to face with the biker who saved her, the man she was forced to leave behind. Desperate to protect herself and the secrets she’s kept hidden, she pushes Quake away.

For over a year, Quake hasn’t been able to forget the beautiful redheaded shifter who slipped through his fingers. But the passion they’d shared has turned into nothing but cold, hard embers. While visiting New York, the Hell’s Fury MC enforcer stumbles across her picture on the internet and manages to track her down. The reunion isn’t anything like he’s dreamed. Rory is different, distant, and living a new life.

When her baby is kidnapped, Rory learns her past isn’t as buried as she’d hoped. Suddenly, the Death’s Head MC threatens all that she holds dear. Catapulted into a world she’d once escaped, Rory must fight to save herself and her child.

Feeling responsible for not killing the Death’s Head MC President, Khan, as he’d promised, Quake offers the Hell’s Fury MC to help find Rory’s son. Forced to put aside their differences and work together, he quickly learns that the chemistry between them is still there. When events take a twisted turn and fate reveals its hand, Quake realizes that there’s more at stake than either of them could have imagined.

Rory is a second-chance, secret-baby erotic MC romance with adult situations and potential triggers, written for Ages 18+.

The eleven books in Guarded Hearts Order of the Dragon Series feature members of the Hell’s Fury MC, Las Vegas NV Chapter, who appear as secondary characters in the original Guarded Hearts Series. Quake and Rory’s story begins in Hell’s Fury MC: Dangerous Curves (Guarded Hearts Order of the Dragon Book 1) and concludes in Hell’s Fury MC: Rory (Book 2). This novel can be enjoyed as a standalone, but your experience will be enhanced by reading their back story first.

Excerpt 1 (PG):

“What’s up, Rory?  You sound weird.”

“I’ve got to tell you, it’s kind of freaking me out.  I just left work, and Quake was there.  He found me.  I don’t know how, but he knows about me.  My business…”

“But not what matters most,” Sydney reminded her firmly.  “Just get your ass home.  We’ll figure something out.  As soon as we get off, I’m going to call Guy Marsden.  I’d have him intercept you, but you’ll be home before he can escort you back.  I’ll let him know he’s on the clock starting now.”

Guy Marsden owned a personal security business.  They used his services when they made a public appearance at fashion or trade shows, premieres, or other events.  Usually, Guy himself accompanied them.  From the furtive looks and admiring glances he slid Sydney’s way, she guessed that his interest was personal, not just professional.  To his credit, he kept things strictly business while he was on duty.  The trouble was, she didn’t know how long they’d need his services.

Quake was the club Enforcer for the Hell’s Fury MC outside Las Vegas, Nevada.  He was probably in town for another fight, the same as last year.

She’d sent him a Dear John text the morning he’d flown back.

He was still angry after a year.  Knowing him, he wouldn’t let it go.  Not until he had answers that satisfied him.  Rory wasn’t ready to explain anything to him.  It was one of the reasons she’d left Nevada and never returned.  Seeing him again brought the past flooding back—the good and the bad.

By the time she reached the house, she was on the verge of a panic attack.  The security guard waved her through the gate as usual when he recognized her.  Pulling up in front of the house, she switched off the engine and loosened her grip on the steering wheel.  The November air hit her when she opened the door, and suddenly, she was back in the pit in the desert, cold, alone, and hurting.  Rory could hear the jackals taunting her, their hands pawing at her body—

“Rory?  It’s okay.  Just breathe, sweetie.  I’m here.  It’s going to be okay.”

Cracking her eyes open, she realized Sydney was standing beside her, wearing a worried expression.  Baby Quinn was in her arms, bundled in a blanket as she rocked him gently.

“Sorry,” Rory croaked, licking her dry lips.  “I… was having…”

“A flashback,” her best friend sighed.  “You haven’t had one of those in six months.  Did you shift?”

“No, thank the goddess,” she quickly assured her, shuddering at the thought of her uncontrolled transformations after she was abducted. “Quake…, seeing him brought everything back…  Shit, you’re cold.  Let’s get inside.”

Exiting the car, she walked with Sydney into the house.  Instead of going into the living room where Quinn had all his baby stuff, she headed for the basement.

They’d installed a specially designed cell in case her little problem ever returned.  A shifter who was unstable was not safe to be around.  Rory had attacked and killed when she was ambushed by the Death’s Head MC.  Her maned wolf form had emerged and slaughtered the jackal shifters, but she had no recollection of it.  What followed had been a terrifying time for her.  Unable to control what had always been natural, she’d agreed to go into rehab until her psychiatrist could figure out what was going on.

Dr. Steele had helped her get back in command of her body.  The thought of losing herself again was even more frightening than having to face Quake.

Wrapping her arms around herself, she stood for long, painful moments, battling her fears, bolstering her courage.  The doorbell sounded, and she raced upstairs, praying it wasn’t the Hell’s Fury Enforcer.

Sydney answered, holding three-month-old Quinn on her hip and standing back to let Guy Marsden in.

“Ladies,” he greeted them, the telltale bulge of his shoulder holster evident beneath his jacket.  Guy reached out and tickled Quinn’s cheek, earning a toothless grin.  “Hey! How’s my boy?” he cooed.  “Christ, he’s getting big!  What have you been feeding him?”

Rory couldn’t answer, not once she’d looked past Guy’s shoulder and spied Quake’s face across the street.

Sydney saw him, too, and ran interference.  “Don’t just stand there, handsome.  Come on in, and you and this little man can play to your heart’s content,” she gushed, knowing Quake was listening.  Hell, with those gargoyle ears, he might even hear them once they closed the door.

Rory’s day just went from bad to worse.  Quake knew where they lived.  There was no more hiding from him now.

Excerpt 2 (NSFW)

Rory followed Quake upstairs and showed him where Quinn’s little swim trunks were.  Diaper bag packed, he started downstairs, headed for the coat closet and the blacked-out SUV they’d given him to drive.

As soon as she heard the front door close, she closed the door to her bedroom, flipped on the soundtrack from Fifty Shades of Grey, stripped off her clothes, and pulled her newest toy from its box, marveling at how close she’d come to replicating Quake’s perfection.  As wet as she was, she could probably have done without lube but she used it anyway, greasing up the sex toy and wiping the excess between her legs.  Lying back on her bed, she spread her legs, parted her folds, found her opening, and began working it inside her, stretching her tissue, reminding herself that she’d handled him, and remembering how deliciously they’d fit.  In, out, harder, deeper.  Memories surfaced of the hot tub and her upstairs suite.  The air mattress in a veterinarian’s basement.  Quake’s bed in his cadre’s clubhouse.

She’d begged him to take her, urging him on.

“Fuck me.  Fuck me, Quake,” she whispered, driving in deep and twisting her nipple to send herself hurtling over the edge.

She was still panting when she heard it—a sound in the hall.

“Shh,” a male voice exhorted.  “Not now, little man.”

Quinn’s answering laugh made her breath seize in her chest.  Quake was here.  Quake had heard her.  And there was nothing she could say to explain it away.

And that’s when she felt it again, another orgasm building with the dildo shoved in her pussy and her fingers pinching her tit.  Quake hummed loud enough he knew she’d hear him.  Know that he was the one giving her a second orgasm.  Not the dildo.  Not her memories.  That gargoyle voice of his. As it hit her in a crashing wave, Rory arched her back against the mattress with a little cry.

“Oh, man, Quinn.  Again?  Wasn’t one poopy diaper enough?”

Rory’s eyes snapped open and she slapped her hand over her mouth to keep from laughing out loud.  Movement in her equaled orgasms.  Her son’s reaction to Quake’s voice registered in his bowels.  It was ludicrous.  Ridiculous.  Too damn funny.
